Kingfisher, OK

In early June 2018, Superior Silica Sands purchased 600 acres of land roughly 60 miles northwest of Oklahoma City to erect a wet and dry plant in Kingfisher, OK. The Kingfisher plant will encompass approximately 40 acres with mining rights on the remaining 560 acres.

Construction on the OK Best Mine has begun and production is slated to begin in mid 2019. Initial nameplate capacity is 1.5mm tpa and will produce a high-quality 40/70 and 100m, or 40/140 grade sand. The location of this plant provides favorable logistics for jobs in the SCOOP/STACK and the unofficial new basin dubbed the “merge” in between the SCOOP/STACK.  Superior has micro-targeted the Kingfisher plant to be closer to the drill rigs than our competition and to be an asset in the “last mile” initiative.

Superior will continue to roll out more updates as they come and are publicly announced.
